He started his Education career at the Baptist Day School, Isanlu-Isin in 1952 and N.A. Post primary school, Ilorin between 1960 and 1961.
He attended Ilorin Teachers College, Ilorin between 1962 and 1966. He had his NCE at the Advance Teachers College, Kano in 1971 with distinction in mathematics and by 1977 he graduated from university of Ife (OAU) with B.Sc (Hon) degree in Computer science and Economics.
Chief Bolarin started his teaching career at Adeta LGEA primary school, Ilorin in 1967 and Community LEA primary school, Omupo in 1968. He also taught at Notre Dame Girls secondary school, Oro till September 1972. By 1979, He was appointed vice principal, Moslem council college, Babaloma, in 1980, The Principal, Lade secondary school. He left the place to become Vice principal at ECWA secondary school Igbaja between 1983 and 1985. On 15th August 1985, he became the Principal of Oyun Baptist High School, Ijagbo the position in which he was the LONGEST SERVING PRINCIPAL till 31st March 2006 when he retired happily.
As a professional teacher with distinct, He served as the secretary of ANCOPSS, Share/ Patigi Zone between 1981 and 1983. He twice headed the ANCOPSS, Oyun zone. He was member of the Editorial Board of Kwara state ANCOPSS and He also served as the 2nd Vice President, Kwara state ANCOPSS.
In recognition of his various contributions to the social, Economic, Progress and Development of Isanlu-Isin community, the Olusin of Isanlu-Isin, Chairman, Isin Traditional council conferred on him the chieftaincy title of Atunluto of Isanlu-Isin on 6th November, 1993 and traditional Chieftaincy title of Esinkin Isolo (a high Chief of Isanlu-Isin) by his people on 29th December 2006.
In the year 2002/ 2003 Academic session, he was recognized as the Best Principal in Kwara state by the Kwara State Teaching Service Commission. Chief Bolarin is a Devoted Christian who is well entrenched in the Baptist Doctrines. He is also a council member of 1st Baptist Church Isanlu-Isin.
He is an accomplished administrator per excellence. His hobbies include Reading of current Affairs, Travelling, Athletics and listening to good music. Meanwhile, the Hugh Chief with his robust health is not tired but better prepared to continue with his community service for Isin LGA, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole in any capacity his services may be required.
He married Janet Bosede Bolarin (nee Adedayo) and the marriage is blessed with promising children.
Chief S. S. Bolarin was honoured with an award of Excellence in recognition of his contribution to the development, discipline and humanitarian services rendered as Principal of OBHS Ijagbo by the Old Student on 24th March 2007 at the 1st AGM in Lagos.
